Minutes

 

Our meeting was called to order by Ken Caiafa.  This month’s meeting was held at Franco’s Pizzeria in West Caldwell.  Motion to approve last month’s minutes was made by Dave DeFeo and seconded by Anthony Vitale.

Those in attendance tonight were: Barbara Balducci, Jack Budesa, Penny Budesa, Ken Caiafa, Linda Siegfried, Hector Carrion, Dave DeFeo, Bill English, Jr., Frank Feichtl, Kathy Feichtl, Charles Grieco, John Hellmers, Lynne Hellmers, Rich Hobatuk, Nancy Hobatuk, Joan Napolitano, Mark Nouhan, Carl Padula, Phil Riso, Fran Riso, John Roselle, Al Sokerka, Ronnie Sokerka, Joe Uzzardi, Anthony Vitale and Debbie Conti.

Financial Report

 Penny gave the Financial Report for the month of April — as of April 1st we had an opening balance of $11,712.26, as of April 30th we have a closing account balance of $11,964.26.  There were deposits totaling $252.00, which were monies for two new members, club patches and 50/50.  There were no disbursement.

Other Business

We had two new members join, John and Gina Christopher – they own a 2025 Red Coupe and met Charles who invited him to join; Steven & Renee Sous – they have a 2010 Jet Steam Blue Grand Sport and they are friends of John & Lynne.  We also had two gentlemen attend tonight, they are Joe Lanza who owns a 2025 Grey Coupe and Joe Gallo who own a 2008 Red Coupe.

Al mentioned that he had the club patches for sale and he also mentioned a place that does repairs on leather – Dr. Vinyl.  He said that they come to you – he passed around a card for those members to take a picture of.

Dave DeFeo mentioned the Totowa Car Show.  He said one of our new members who joined tonight, Joe Gallo won.

Charles spoke about the Warwick Winery fun run happening on Sunday, May 18th, emails have been sent out.  He also spoke about a run to the Chart House in Weehawken with a price fix menu on Sunday, July 13th; another one is going to the Meadowlands Racetrack for $49.00 per person on a Saturday night August 9th and the last one is a trip to Atlantic City staying at the Borgata for October 23-26.  A separate email was sent about all of these events to the members.

Watkins Glen Friday, June 20 through Monday, June 23 since the race is on Sunday.  John asks that if anyone is interested to please get in touch with him

Kenny mentioned that he would like everyone to think about doing something every other weekend, whether it’s a fun run, a social dinner or just getting together.  He made a list of dates and asked the members to take a picture of the dates and try and get some things on our social calendar.

Kenny also mentioned that they are now having Corvettes and Coffee on Sundays at Calandra’s Village on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell.  It starts at 8:30 and runs until around 11:30 and it’s just a place to hang out, have a cup of coffee and talk cars.  All are welcome.

The 50/50 of $67.00 was won by Joe Lanza.

Our next business meeting will be on Wednesday, May 14th at Franco’s Pizzeria on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell (it’s in the Essex Mall directly across from Miller Chevrolet) at 7:00PM.
